70mm 17" 3 Blade Classic Max-Prop 1-1/4 shaft

Excellent condition 70mm 17" classic 3 blade max-prop for a 1-1/4" diameter shaft. Includes a new style universal zinc, an old style 3 hole zinc, all screws, spare screws, zerc grease fittings, hex wrenches and a bunch of cotter keys.

This prop requires the shaft threads to be cut off a bit. The video on this page explains the installation very well.

-- Max-Prop Installation Manuals

PDF manuals can be found on the same page.

This prop has the new style shaft nut that does not require drilling through the nut and the shaft. It uses two pins shown in the last photo below to lock the nut.

The top blade in the first photo has a few very shallow small dings from the boat's PO. There are a few other small dings on the body as would be expected on a used prop.

$1200 or best offer plus shipping to lower 48 states only.

PM or call John - 954-494-8780. I'm in Tiitusvile, Florida for a few weeks.

FYI- this is not true for all Max Prop installation situations. Some shaft ends need to be cut off and some don't. But you won't know until you fit the prop.

In guess if the shaft had a short taper no cutting would be required.

Re: 70mm 17" 3 Blade Classic Max-Prop 1-1/4 shaft

I am interested but need to see if this will fit on my endeavour 40. Anybody remember the shaft size on the endeavour 40 1984 perkins 4-108?

How old is the maxprop?

As I recall my E-40 has a 11/4" shaft. Cptn Happy
