Carpe Diem is a 60ft
catamaran motor sailor with five cabins, five toilets/showers (hot and cold), a wide open galley/saloon, fully air conditioned (5 split units), separate
engine room and huge amounts of living space!
She is a custom
steel cat, built in 1986 (Brisbane. Aust. ) originally serving as an
offshore survey vessel, then surf charters in
Indonesia and an island
charter boat out of Phuket. Unfortunately no technical paperwork (architect plans,
wiring diagrams etc) are available.
Excellent sea keeping comes from her sturdy build. A minor
refit in 2009 saw both engines and both gensets rebuilt plus minor
steel repairs before being steamed to
Singapore, where she served as a
live-aboard home to a
family of four, maid, crewman and cat. Last slipping was Nov 2013 in Johor Bahru for antifoul and shipside
paint. Also has 10ft fibreglass
RIB with 15hp four stroke suzuki
outboard, 10 main
liferaft.
