40, metal, shoal draft....
We're looking for a roughly 40ft, metal hulled, shoal-draft boat with two private bed rooms. Preferably with a pilot house and a junk rig. A little specific, I know but that's why I'm asking for help! Anyone seen anything? I know there are a couple of nice Colvin Gazelles out there at the moment but at $90-100k they are really stretching our budget!! Any leads would be appreciated, thanks!!

Gazelle is about all I can think of fitting your description. But 90 is pretty high for that boat. You can often find home made versions for much less.
I'm bored, I'll poke around.

Re: 40, metal, shoal draft....
Hi, thanks for all of the good suggestions. I've done a lot of searching but hadn't come across some if these. I just came across some info about a gazelle calledWowartok that was for sale in maybe 2012 or so... Anyone heard of it?

Re: 40, metal, shoal draft....
If you want the best selection of metal boats, you need to think about looking across the pond, where the metal boat is the rule, not the oddball exception.
If you can find an aluminum or steel Koopmans cb boat for your price you won't be going wrong.
Here's a steel 35 foot Koopmans. Not a shoal draft though. Pretty boat.

Check this one out - hydraulic lifting keel (very shoal), aluminum, 42 feet, nice interior woodwork, $82k.

Re: 40, metal, shoal draft....
Thanks Westsail374, I will look in to the Koopmans. I have heard in the past that Holland and that area are pretty good places to look but have had limited (no) success in finding a large centralized website like yachtworld that features a lot of listings from that part of the world. Any ideas? Maybe I have to search in Dutch?

Re: 40, metal, shoal draft....
Thanks for all the good suggestions, I did go back and look at the gazelles on yachtworld. not bad... I've heard some talk that Gazelles are a bit cramped in the interior? Not sure if anyone has any insight? I saw an expired ad for one in Victoria, BC but can't get any contact details (because the ad is expired). Anyway, still looking!
