4 month old discounted Lagoon 39

We recently took delivery of our Lagoon 39 owner version with plans to cruise Europe with our baby son but sadly due to a medical condition we are unable to continue with our sailing plan and are selling the boat in the next few months.
She was commissioned and launched in April 2015 and we have spent 4 months ironing out the little flaws and getting her cruise ready. Those with experience of buying new boats will understand when I say she is better now than when delivered to us at the factory and comes fully equipped with new dinghy, outboard, flexiteak, life jackets, life raft, flares, spares and so on... all the things you would need to buy to equip a new boat are already there, valued at over $20k.
If you ordered the equivalent boat today from Lagoon she would list at $370k but we are in a position to offer her at an interesting discount, asking $320k with everything.
We have been impressed by the L39 and she has far exceeded our expectations as a sail boat. The new sail plan on the L39 and L52 models with the reduced mainsail and mast moved aft leaves more space for headsails and hence the self tacking jib is actually the size of a 130% genoa on other models. We also have a code zero on a furler led back to the helm.
We have seen her handle 45 knots on the nose in Biscay without any fuss or fear and also sail at 12 knots on a broad reach down Portugal.
Currently in Mallorca but as we are on the move constantly viewing can be arranged anywhere along the Spanish or French mediterranean coast.
She is BVI registered.
Pm me for full specs and more pics.

"Medical problems", the number one reason why people have to stop their plans. Sorry to hear that. Hope you get the medical issues sorted out as well as they can be. And hope you find a good buyer for your Lagoon. Good luck.

Thank you. We just have to make adjustments and think that everything happens for a reason.
Another family will no doubt finish our plan for us.

Re: 4 month old discounted Lagoon 39

I just want to say that this post breaks my heart!

I know how much I have worked to get here, and I suspect you worked as hard or harder. Hard to see someone get that close and not get there for circumstances out of their control. At least you got to have the joy of your new boat and the first sails.

I hope everything works out for you guys!

I love the baby-proofing you've done. Good luck with the sale and all things medical.

Re: 4 month old discounted Lagoon 39

Thank you. The boat would be ideal for a family with young children but of course all our add ons can easily be removed.

Have a chat with Javier at catamarans Barcelona if you haven't already. Give him a hello from sephina while you're at it. They have offices in Barcelona and the Balearics.

Thank you. We have spoken to Javier.
If not sold our boat will be marketed at Anapolis (even though she is located in Europe) by a broker we know for $369,000.

We have now listed her with a broker in the U.S. and another in Europe but I am continuing to offer her myself without commission. Thank you.

Re: 4 month old discounted Lagoon 39

Thanks for sending extra pictures. We love the boat. Our main concern is the dollar versus the euro. I can buy the same boat in the US for less money and more equipment. Not sure how you plan on dealing with this. I would like to make an offer, but don't want to insult anyone. Please let me know your thoughts.

Re: 4 month old discounted Lagoon 39

I'm afraid I don't understand. The dollar is stronger now than at any time in the last 10 years so European boats are cheaper and Lagoon has a healthy order book as a result of this.
Our boat has been assessed by a U.S. broker and we have listed her significantly below his recommended price. I'm pretty sure there is no better value L39 on the market at the moment but if I am mistaken please let me know what you have seen. Thank you.
