30 ft sailboat

Excellent first sailboat.

Boat is a 1980 us 30, built by us yachts which was a division of bayliner. The hull was designed by Doug Peterson and won its class in the 1978 ¼ ton championships.

The boat is masthead rigged.

The boat is 30 feet long, 10.2 feet wide and draws 5.5 feet. It is constructed of fiberglass with a fin keel and rudder. It's a fast boat for a 30 ft racer cruiser it rates 168 in phrf in comparison a catalina 30 rates 188 so this boat is 20 seconds a mile faster.

It is powered with a Volvo penta md7a 13 hp inboard diesel will push the boat at 6.5 knts at 2300 rpm and burns less then .5 gallons an hour.

Starts up easy and does not smoke

It comfortably will sleep 2 couples and a child .

I owned the boat since October 2009 and in that time sailed her all over Miami,ft Lauderdale, the keys and the Bahamas.

Since buying the boat I have gone through almost every system on the boat to make sure I felt safe on my adventures.

I have receipts for most all parts.

Since buying I have replaced

The prop shaft and the prop stuffing box.

Had the martech folding propeller rebuilt.

Replaced the cutlass

Replaced the through hulls and ball valves

Replace exhaust hose.

Replace cooling hoses.

Rebuilt injectors

Rebuilt injection pump

Rebuilt alternator

Rebuilt starter

Replace engine piston rings,

Replace edson steering cables,

Replace rudder stuffing box and upper bearing.

Removed rudder dried insides and rebuilt with new foam,

Replaced af/fm radio with CD player and control at helm

New standard horizon vhf dsc radio.

New mast head vhf antenna and cable from antenna to radio.

New mast wiring and anchor light and steaming light and deck light

New Garmin 6 series chart plotter sounder combo with new transponder

New ray marine autopilot integrated to chart plotter

New gaskets and seals for windows and hatches,

New portipotti

New tachometer and fuel level gauge and water temperature gauge

New engine start button
New shifter cable and throttle cable

New engine stop cable

New fuel level sender

Fuel tank supports replaced

New 12 v fans for bunks

New bilge pumps, 1 automatic 700 gph 1 emergency pump 1500 gph with audible alarm, 1 300 gph shower pump

Has 2 new large 6 v golf cart batteries as a house bank, these batteries will run your fans and lights and stereo for 2-3 days without worrying about charging them.

Has a new large 110 amp hour agm battery as a start battery

New battery master selector switch.

New anchor roller

New Manson supreme anchor

75 feet of high test chain and additional 150 feet of 5/8 rode

Secondary anchor is fortress fx aluminum with 10 feet of chain and 75 feet of rode.

All deck hard ware has been rebeded and resealed to prevent leaks

New scupper hoses

The roller furler unit is new

The forestay is new.

Backstay adjusters are new.

Most running rigging has been replaced.

Has a new 135% Genoa

Has 2 additional head sails that are not new but in ok shape

Has 2 main sails 1 is good condition other is almost new

Has a small asymmetrical spinnaker

Also a very large almost new symmetrical spinnaker

I have flown both of these without a spinnaker pole using a atn tacker that is included.

The decals with the boat name "Obsession" are new

The lifelines were replaced with spectra line.

The price includes a 2010 bombard roll up inflatable with no leaks or patches and it comes with your choice of outboards older 7.5 hp 2stoke or newer 3.5 hp 4 stroke.

Included are all the the spare parts, the life jackets flares, outboard and inboard books dock lines.

I'm sure threes more but I can't remember the hours and dollars vie put in this boat

On the inside it could use the headliner repaired in a few spots,

It could use the cabin floor replace or refinished or covered with marine carpet.

It could use the hull surfaces and cabinet faces vinyl replaced with hull liner or marine carpet

It could use new cushions, they are fine no rips no tears no big stains just older and look it.

The stove top was converted to propane from alcohol and doesn't work, I used a small butane camp stove

The counter tops were painted with counter top paint from home depot it looked great for the first month then started chipping to do it again I would just get a sheet of Formica.

The bottom paint is 3 years old, it was micron 66 and has held up well, you could problay get another year out of it if you clean it gently and 2 years if you're willing to scrape hard.

The water tank leaks when your uncomfortly heeled
I think that's it. If you come look at the boat ill be happy to point out the good and bad, I promise to be the most honest owner of a boat in this price range u look at to buy.

It's a great boat for Biscayne bay and the keys and can handle the Bahamas as well.

I'm only selling because now after doing all that work the wife fell in love with another boat that's bigger and more of a project and we just made an offer and I don't want to own 2 boats.

The boat is in a slip in dinner key marina and can be shown at any time.

The price is negotiable but only a little after that if we start taking things off, the first to go would be the autopilot after that would be the dinghy ect.

10000k

I have pictures upon request.
