30' + Cat
Does anyone have or know of someone who has a 30' or longer Cat for sale? My budget is $30K. I live in Canada, but will arrange the pick up anywhere in North or Central America after full payment is made upon personal inspection.
Thanks,
CGP

Re: 30' + Cat
With that budget you are probably limited to an Iroquois. Ask me how I know. :-)

Re: 30' + Cat
Yes, you are right about that toddbrsd. An Iroquois or a Gemini fit that budget, but I'd be happy with either if they were sound. I'd like to have a Lagoon, but let's face it that's only possible after a lottery win for me. It's taken me 4 years to save up $30K and I'm not so sure at 55 that I have 36 more years left to save up the other 270K.

I have one now ShaktisBoy. Problem is I can't take it into shallow waters where I will be going to in the Caribbean.

Re: 30' + Cat
Look at the older late 80's Gemini's. They get down to around $30-40k. Once past the 1st generation, the interior isn't much changed from the later models thru the 3400.

Re: 30' + Cat
There is also Catalac. This one looks pretty decent and under your budget!
Catalac 8M Catamaran for sale Canada
I know of a couple of Iroquois in Florida and there are usually a couple in the Great Lakes or Northeast USA on Yachtworld, but did not see any now.
As someone else mentioned, use Craigslist and all of the other "resources" to aid in your search. You are probably using this Forum to find someone with "personal" knowledge of an available boat.
Good Luck.

Re: 30' + Cat
Dulcesuenos: I called the owner and he hung up on me after I told him I would be arranging a marine survey before paying. Must be a few hidden due dads he was hoping not to be found.
toddbrsd: I appreciate that link you posted for me. I am in contact with the owner.
My thanks to everyone for their comments and suggestions.

Re: 30' + Cat
I have a fantastic Nonsuch 30 Ultra for sale However it is way above your budget. You will have a hard time finding a 30' cruiser that will compare to my Nonsuch.
If you want or know someone who is looking for a turn-key Nonsuch that is well equipped and has been stored inside since repainting the hull, deck with Awlgrip and a new non-skid surface that cost over $ 20,000, please contact me.
My boat is a Michigan fresh water boat and you won't be disappointed.
Regards,
Ken

You do realize, this thread is in reference to a CATamaran not a CAT rigged monohull

Re: 30' + Cat
Valhalla 360,
Thanks for the correction. I always thought that 'Cat' refers to a Cat Rig vessell.
Sail On,

Hi,
Have a 30 Iroquois just up for sale. My email is Rbrentp@aol.com if interested. It is the Two Much in Houston on Galveston Bay. She is in good shape.
