For use in
windlass? Be carefull not all chains are equal. When I bought
windlass recently I thought a length of 3/8 chain I had was going to
work. I took a link and caliper into wm and after looking at two different
references with two different measurements we decided it was hi test. The chain link fell between the two measurements given for hi test. It wouldn't
work in the
gypsy as it skipped and jumped. I ended up getting a new 100ft length for around $400. Was surprised how competitive west was on
price, they beat defender and the port supply truck delivered it to the shore near where I was anchored and helped me load it into
dinghy. Still have length of chain in
bilge. Little less than hundred foot and needs regalvanizIng but would part with
cheap. I'm in jax now.
