Speak English when you write a reply.
You have not read his entire post.
Or his posts on other sailing forum's.
This whole mentality baffles me. That you'd even consider spending who knows how much to sue someone over comments about a boat you're trying to sell for $4k. Really? To what end? What could you possibly hope to acquire besides making yourself look bad?

I have to agree that the comments made were not over the top and he even said some good things about the boat.

Letting it go is the best thing you can do. That and get a new moniker if you plan to stay on the forum.

You need a new lawyer.

I tried to keep it as simple as possible, but the CF "play nice" rule prevents me from being clearer .

There's so much more to this story than you know about.

Threaten a lawsuit?
That doesn't make a man out of you.
Not by a long shot.

Re: 26+' sailboat with wheel steering

WorldWind, I applogize. I just saw this thread when someone sent me a PM about it, so this is my first chance to reply. My intention was, in fact, to help you SELL the boat. I liked your wife and you, you seemed like nice people, and I understood the situation in which you found yourself. As I said at the beginning of that part of this thread, and as I said on Sailnet, the only other place I've mentioned your boat, I met several nice people in the course of all of the boats I have seen, and I counted your wife and you among them. I'm very sorry if my attempt to help you sell her backfired; as I said in my brief description of your boat, she is a perfectly seaworthy boat. As with the others, she has good "bones". At the price you were asking, the headliner and engine repairs were within the scope of a smart investment, and it was very tempting, but I found a other boat that is a better fit for me. I only found that a week ago, and the initial survey was completed late this past week. i had planned to E-mail you yeaterday, but thr snow here messed with my day. besides, when I saw that you had listed her online, and at a price lower than we had discussed, I assumed you weren't interested in selling to me. FWIW, I thought you wife had done a great job with the cushions, the boat looked great in the pictures. The Special Olympics is getting a great boat.

Again, I am sorry if my attempt to help actually backfired. I didn't even realize that you were a member here.

Re: 26+' sailboat with wheel steering

Given that this is a "wanted" ad, and I've (hopefully) found what I've wanted, if the mods want to delete this entire thread, that's fine with me.
