WorldWind, I applogize. I just saw this thread when someone sent me a PM about it, so this is my first chance to reply. My intention was, in fact, to help you SELL the boat. I liked your wife and you, you seemed like nice people, and I understood the situation in which you found yourself. As I said at the beginning of that part of this thread, and as I said on Sailnet, the only other place I've mentioned your boat, I met several nice people in the course of all of the
boats I have seen, and I counted your wife and you among them. I'm very sorry if my attempt to help you sell her backfired; as I said in my brief description of your boat, she is a perfectly
seaworthy boat. As with the others, she has good "bones". At the
price you were asking, the
headliner and
engine repairs were within the
scope of a smart investment, and it was very tempting, but I found a other boat that is a better fit for me. I only found that a week ago, and the initial
survey was completed late this past week. i had planned to E-mail you yeaterday, but thr snow here messed with my day. besides, when I saw that you had listed her online, and at a
price lower than we had discussed, I assumed you weren't interested in selling to me. FWIW, I thought you wife had done a great job with the
cushions, the boat looked great in the pictures. The Special
Olympics is getting a great boat.
Again, I am sorry if my attempt to help actually backfired. I didn't even realize that you were a
member here.
