Exclamation 2006 Robinson and Caine Leopard 40

SV Cruzan Rhumb II is a 2006 Leopard 40 (USCG Documented) and is in sterling condition (strong preventative maintenance program). She is being successfully chartered out of Fat Hogs Bay, Tortola, BVI, and is in the best shape she's been in since new. Fully outfitted and ready to go. You can keep her in charter, and let the great couple who manage her take care of her while you sail her as much as you can...or bring her home to your dock! Nicest Leopard 40 currently on the market selling for $229,000 (US)!

Re: 2006 Robinson and Caine Leopard 40

Okay, I'm not really in a position to buy this boat today, but I scheme and dream of making such a purchase some day. I wonder about balancing boat loan / insurance / charter income / maintenance-repair. . . .

So if it's not being too nosy, can I ask how much chartering income you could see in an average year?

Re: 2006 Robinson and Caine Leopard 40

Difficult to layout entire algorhythm, but in general, after I paid full price for NEW boat, with 20% down, I had to sail her at least 2.5 weeks per year to break even (though that didn't include tax deductions/depreciation).

If someone were to buy the boat now, they would be able to make their mortgage payments alot easier...probably even multiple payments more throughout the year.
