2000 Cross 38 Trimaran

2000 Cross 38 ketch-rigged trimaran.
St. James City, Pine Island, Florida
$45K

Cold-molded okume boat built in Maine ‘94-‘00, launched in 2001. This vessel was built by a wood working professional who had previously constructed six cold-molded boats. This boat is into the process of a re-fit but is not a long-term project. She was just sailed to Florida from Maine last year. Most of the gear necessary to complete the vessel is included in the price. This was boat was surveyed by John Marples in May 2013 and valued at $55K. Since that time, there has been approximately $25K in improvements and new hardware added. This is a rare opportunity to own a well-built, pedigreed bluewater multihull of comparatively recent vintage for less than $60,000 total cost when completed.
The boat is currently on the hard in Pine Island, FL having her topsides, wing deck undersides and bottom painted. Deck has been stripped of all gear and painted with a coat of white LP paint but needs to be finished and have winches and tracks reset. Purchaser who acts quickly will have the opportunity to implement his own ideas for the vessel with regard to paint color, thru-hulls, winch and track placement, etc. Additionally, a professional boat builder is available to add a sugar scoop hull extension if desired.
