Hi all,
My job recently transferred me to Bogota,
Colombia. We said goodbye to the fun waters of
Lake Ontario, and find ourselves landlocked for the first time in our lives. That said, we found a nice "lake" about an hour from the city (Embalse de Tomine -
photo attached), roughly 26km long by 6km wide, in the middle of the mountains, which makes for very interesting winds. Found a few nice clubs, and are now looking for a
boat to buy. Not a lot of offer here, but we're willing to sail it in from the
Leeward islands or
Venezuela.
If you know of any boats in the market in this area, please let me know. We're scheduling a trip to
Cartagena early this year to see if there is anything out there.
