1999 Island Packet 40 Shoal Draft for Sale

I'm sad to be selling my Island Packet 40, Eventyr. She is hull number 129 out of 137 produced. She has a rare 3'10" shoal draft full keel with encapsulated lead ballast.

Eventyr has been featured in numerous articles in water sailing">Blue Water Sailing Magazine. She has recently been fitted with custom corian countertops, a stainless steel arch davit, a 22" flat screen TV, and is loaded with cruising amenities and spare parts. She also has a 15 gph Spectra water maker, solar and wind power, diesel generator, ICOM SSB/Pactor modem, all sails roller furling, even a well stocked liquor cabinet and full tank (90 gallons) of diesel fuel!

I am asking $224,900 for the boat with a 2005 Caribe 10' RIB with 2008 Yamaha 15 hp motor.

Go cruising now.

Pictures and information are available on our websites: www.theforters.com and www.ipphotos.com/eventyr. More pictures will be up on the former website soon.

Serious inquiries may contact conchcruzer@hotmail.com.

Good Sailing

Thanks for the kind comments. She was a great boat for our four years of Caribbean Cruising. We took good care of our IP and she showed very well. After a week back in the US, the first person that looked at her bought her. The survey was flawless and the closing is next week.

I can't say enough good things about the solid construction and value that IP builds into their boats. There's not a single blister, stress crack, or any sign of structural weakness on the boat. She's got about 20,000 miles under her keel and 100,000 or more in her.

Now, in a few days I'll be moving off the boat and saying goodbye for the last time. I ain't looking forward to that.
