1993 Lagoon 37 TPI For Sale

My wife and I have had a great time cruising on Aventura, our 1993 Lagoon 37 TPI catamaran, but future cruising plans include all or part of the Great Loop, and a sailboat just doesn’t work for that. Therefore, Aventura is up for sale at $130,000. She is in great shape and ready to cruise.

Lagoon 37 TPI catamarans were built in the USA (Rhode Island) between 1993-1995 by Tillotson Pearson Inc. using Baltek end-grain balsa cored construction, triaxal glass and vinylester resin. Over the years, the 37 TPI has earned a reputation for high quality construction, durability, seaworthiness, and great sailing ability. As a result, they tend to hold their value well. Several have circumnavigated. Five Lagoon 37 TPIs are currently listed on Yacht world at prices ranging from $124K to $175K. This one is in great shape with many extras and is priced at $130K for a quick sale and a happy buyer. A few review articles were written about the Lagoon 37 TPI. Check the following links:

A unique and valuable feature of Aventura is that she is equipped with Schaefer in-boom furling combined with a Lewmar 40 electric winch. This allows one to safely and easily raise, lower and reef the main sail from the comfort and security of the helm station. The boat is easily single-handed.

We are selling Aventura in order to move to a small trawler. We would consider a trade involving a post-1991 Monk 36 or other similar trawler. Willing to pay boot if necessary.

Re: 1993 Lagoon 37 TPI For Sale

What's your concern with using the current boat for looping?

A cat is a great option. If you like the boat and really don't want to deal with it on the trip, take it off and store it somewhere.

The shallow draft is a huge bonus and with twin engines, you should be good. Only thing to check would be range but you don't need anything extreme. I forget if it was 150 or 250 mile range under power to get from St. Louis to Kentucky Lake.

Re: 1993 Lagoon 37 TPI For Sale

Hi Mike,

I am delighted to find your post! My husband, Mark, and I live in New Orleans and are looking for a Lagoon TPI to do pretty much exactly what you've been doing.

We currently have a Pearson 27 at the Bucktown marina. Is Aventura at South Shore? We'd love the opportunity to connect and see her if she's still available. I'm not sure how this forum works as I just joined but I can be reached here or by the email on my profile.
