Over my years of sporadically
posting here while working on the
Nomadness project, I never thought I'd be
posting her
for sale... but back injury has a way of changing one's priorities. Heck, putting on the 2015 WA
registration stickers is a daunting
project, and not just because the silly things cost me $750!
Anyway, I'm going to the Dark(ish) Side with a little trailerable tuglet (geeked out, of course, but that's another story), and it's time to either
epoxy the
dock lines or find her a new
skipper.
Brokers are sniffing around, but I'd really rather not... so I'm starting with a web page of specs and lots of photos here:
Amazon 44 For Sale | Nomadness
(Linked from there are some other good resources including a really nice review of the
boat by Melissa White at Three
Sheets NW, a walkthrough with more detail, a 200-page PDF compilation of the
Nomadness Report that I was publishing for a while, and plenty of bloggy bits posted over the past 7 years.)
She has quite a few unusual features... a Little Cod
wood stove, 8-foot desk with magnetic fixturing and tool cabinet,
laundry, Gig Harbor sailing dink on folding
davits with forward rowing system,
autopilot and
Sailomat vane, all-Outback
power management system, custom
power console, serious deep-freeze and fridge, separate
shower compartment, magnetic pilot house curtains, and a few other things that were integrated for open-ended voyaging. More on all this, and the logic of the
price, is over at that page linked above.
I'm
living aboard in Friday Harbor (with all my shop/lab/office stuff moved off to nearby rental space) and can show most anytime. I have about a month of
work to do on her once motivated...
Cheers from
s/v Nomadness,
Steve
