Hi,

would like more info please. Has the cabin hood (material) been removed? Is there a recent survey? What is the condition of the bowsprit wood?

any other info would be helpful. Spec sheet? Listing notice
thanks

Gerry,

I am not sure what you are asking by "has the cabin hood material been removed?" If you are asking about the cabin liner, yes it was removed. The hardware that was attached to the deck was all properly drilled and filled and backed. The liner could be replaced as original, or (what I would do) is to attach strips with epoxy and then secure something like bead board to cover it. The liner is not finished, but has been painted and is not much of a distraction the way it is (leaving it open allows easier maintenance in the future.

THere is no 'listing notice' as there is no broker involved. If you are bringing a broker to the table expect to pay his commission as the asking price does not include any slush for a third party.

There is no survey, but the boat is certainly available if you would like to arrange one. The nice thing about a Flicka is that there are not many places for things to be 'hidden' that would require a surveyor to ferret out. The boat is in excellent shape, and considering the equipment upgrades are worth the asking price it would be pretty tough to go wrong... but if a survey is required by your insurer by all means do it.

The "condition of the bowsprit wood" is sound. The boat is mostly cruise ready (of course the mast would have to be re-stepped) and minor things like the VHF and depth sounder re-installed.... if you have checked the price of many Flicka's you will find this price is more in line with an outboard equipped boat... certainly not a boat with a new inboard and as many upgrades as this boat has.

Feel free to PM me for contact info or to arrange to see the boat.

Is this the Flicka that real estate agent lady re-fitted a few years back? I seem to remember she left to go around the world, got into some rough seas the first night and returned the next day with a cut hand. Put the boat up for sale and dissapeared. The reg numbers on the bow are Florida - I think that's where she was from.

No, not the same boat.

But I DO know who you are talking about. I actually spoke with Bruce Bingham about her... interesting story on that one but nothing I can share here.

She spent a fair amount of time on another forum I frequent. Rather sad that things did not work out for her. Thankfully most adventures on these boats go much better.

Oh I'll bet - but at least she made her decision and pulled the plug. No need to suffer through it if it's not for you. But I do recall she did a really nice job on the boat, from pictures anyway.

THe owner is ready to move this boat. He has reduced the price.

The boat sits on it's trailer in Highlands, NC.

He is looking for a buyer, not so much a 'chatter-and-never-buy-the-boater'.

Give him a call, his name is Dennis. His number is (828) 226 6123

That is one sweet boat! I am even looking for a good deal on a tow truck (that F350 works fine!) I hope you find a good keeper for her!

FWIW,

The boat is still for sale. It is sitting on it's trailer in my back yard. (Just north of Pensacola)

Good Old Boat did an article on the Flicka in the current issue, take a look if you might be interested in these boats.
