Orana 44: Shore Tie Plug Adapter Buzz

We have a Hubbell YQ30 "Intelligent Y Adapter" that we sometimes use when the host marina only has 30A service available...now 8 years old, but used very little in the last 3 (once or twice really).

We hooked up in a marina this week for a couple of days stay and upon initial hookup, the box portion of the adapter was making a loud buzz, audible on the boat from the pier, to the point it was too noisy to keep using (although it appeared to power the boat OK). Secured the power for a couple of days, but heat was driving need to try it again for AC use....no buzz, no power this time.

I can't find any documentation on the guts of the box, but assume there is something fried inside....costly to replace, so anyone have any experience with repair or troubleshooting one of these?
