Proud new owner

I just wanted to announce that I have today settled on my purchase of a 2002 Belize 43 Maestro (hull # 76).
I am in Australia and the boat is currently in the Med waiting for my arrival in 2013.
Then its off cruising forever, at last and I am sure that there will be many adventures to share along the way.
Thanks to all who have helped with various pieces of advice during my search, it has been very helpful.
Time to change my signature from ''FP or Leopard?'' to ''Belize 43''
Kindest regards
Wayne

Congratulatios,

We would have loved to do our circumnavagation on a cat but the bank account would just not allow it . Did you find that there were better deals in the med then the states ?

Good luck and happy cruising.

Hi Tom
Thanks for that I am not sure my bank account was ready for this but the clock is ticking.
What I liked about the boats in the Med was they generally had far less use than say the Caribbean boats due to the shorter sailing season in the Med. I did look all over the world but just happened to find my dream boat in Cyprus of all places.
Fair winds and gentle seas to you

Thanks Lisa yes I am one happy cruiser and very satisfied with my choice of the Belize 43. Time will tell if it indeed was the right choice for me but who cares if it is not the mythical ''perfect boat'' because I'm going cruising!!!
I actually seriously considered a Bahia for a while and would have been just as happy had that turned out to be the ultimate choice.
Hopefully our paths may cross somewhere out there one day but in the meantime I know you will enjoy your Bahia as much as I am going to enjoy my Belize.
Kind regards
Wayne

Hi Wayne,
Congratulations and wellcome to the FP family, and yes the Forum can be a great reference, but remember some post in haste without the research.
When will you be picking up your boat, we will be leaving La Rochell mid May for the Med. Would love to catch up somewhere there in 2013 or 2014. PM me your e- mail and keep in touch.

Regards Gordon.
