www.filaviasail.com

1 photo, use flexibol wood (you ask in a fiberglass ship yard were to bay this wood) screw with small screw all aroun and make bimini as the shape of alluminium, this wood is only the mul that you will pain whit special pain for mul and cover with special fiberglass wax

2 photo cut the wood all aroud and plaster were is not flat

3 photo as fhe wood is redy cover with fiberglass 4 times (the thickness is 350/400/400/350)

4 photo after fiberglass take off from wood and turn aroun the bimini you will renfoce from under.

5 photo make reinforcement with polystyrene special for fiberglass

6 photo sand blast for very very long time to make it nice and flat if needed plaster again a little. Using a roller pain good 4 coat far each side with gell coat.

Now is ready take to Belize and fix it as yuo like i have used rivets.
Good work send photo of your work ciao
Gianni

Nice!

I started bulding one last week by cutting of the top of an old pick up fiberglass box...last night sanded the edges and was very pleased with the result...now I need to find tubing for the frame.
cheers

Bimini for Belize 43 in Tropea Italy

I'm very happy to read that your new bimini will be good and useful.

For the sailors in the Caribeam:
i will cross the atlantic in november, you will look the bimini in Martinica or St Lucia.

Re: No More Problem - Fiberglass Bimini Made

Hey Gianni,

Very nice work! We had nearly the same thing made for ours in Venezuela a few years ago. It has made the cockpit a much more enjoyable place to be.

Cheers,
Meck
