There are 2 tanks - 1 port side behind the bookcase in forrard
cabin. Other is starboard in same position and is hard to get at. The fill goes into starboard tank and the tanks are connected with a pipe running under the
saloon seats so both fill together. There is a cock on both tanks - starboard to left and below the water pressure
pump and the port is behind a panel just to right of nav station at the bottom below the small shelf. The water gauge is connected to port tank. I and many others have split the tanks by separating the take off from the port tank and adding another
deck fill point. In my case I added another pressure
pump to feed a separate filtered point at
galley sink and can either relink the tanks or keep them separate via stop cocks. Still haven't worked out how to add an extra gauge on starboard tank.
Karver gaff lock can be done cheaply with a bit of
Dyneema.
Good luck - I still reckon the Lipari is a great boat and very happy with ours 6 years later.
