Re: New FP 47 pictures

I'll vote for Saona, a small nature preserve off the coast of Dominican Republic with 47 km coastline. Also complements the rest of the fleet names - Lucia, Helia, Saba, Ipanema, Victoria.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

Looks great! I really like this boat and almost pulled the trigger on it vs. the Helia. I will be watching it over the next several years as a potential upgrade.

I am with you on this New FP 47.

Lots of COOL details were added. Hoping that Uchimata posts some inside pictures also.

The FP Helia 44 Evo was at the top of our budget, so this is our retirement boat. Plenty of space for our 2 daughter and family to cruise with. Very Happy with our boat.

Its all good fun looking at the new stuff though.

Can you SHARE your thoughts as to a good New FP 47 name?

The name that Cuvee mentioned "Saona 47" sounded pretty good for a New FP 47 name.

This island that Cuvee speeks of seems to have the same length of shore line as Korcula. By the way Vela Luca on Korcual is a beautiful town.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

'Saona' is probably too similar to Salona Yachts - a competitor.

Jay, Can you post a picture of the Lucia 40 engine and genset in the port engine room?

I think the Lucia 40 has a
6KW 220v 50Hz genset or
7.5KW 110V 60HZ genset (same genset just configured for Europe or USA)

I have been on the Lucia 40, but never opened the port engine hatch.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

My $$$ is on "Lampedusa" 47.

It's an island off Italy...and (spoiler alert) is written on the placard on the aft railing pics posted above with Hull#1.

I did see that, but all our boats have a name and hull number when they are splashed.

I though it meant Lamped USA Hull#1

So your guess is "Lampedusa 47"

It's all good, anymore guess's

I thought it said "Lamped USA" at first as well.

My Helia had the same placard on her and the outside said "Helia #168".

It could be a very clever deception method from FP....but I doubt it.

Agree that the 47 has some really nice features. Hopefully we get some interior pics and a look in all the lockers soon.

Re: New FP 47 pictures

OK, I will give this naming thing another try.

From the FP web site news, they state.

The New 47 name suggests a Caribbean island and a superb anchorage in the Balearic Islands…

Discover the name of the New 47 during the La grande Motte Multihull Boat Show

April 19-23, 2017

With this information, My new guess is Palma 47
