New dinghy lifting platform max weight questions?

I understand the new FP lifting platform has a max weight that is not very high. My questions are:

1) is it the same weight restriction regardless of the boat it’s fitted to or does the Saba fitted platform have a larger motor & max weight than an Astrea platform’s motor?

2) Is the max weight for lifting or also for static load? For example, if the platform were submerged to be used for a swim platform, would having more than 3 adults standing on it while it was not moving damage the unit?

Re: New dinghy lifting platform max weight questions?

60 hits and no answers, so I thought I might just tell you:

Personally would not have it....

If the hydraulic fails, no way to lift it...

If my electric hydraulic winches fail on the davits, I can run a line to the other winches and away I go...

And I don't like it in a following sea... Good Luck, but I would not have it...

Saba 50 "Serenity" hull number 15, and I customizing it "Til Death do Part"
