Your explanation is perfect, I couldn't agree more. Exactly why I chose a cat, along with I like their motion on top of the waves better than a mono.

Nice cruise Jurakat, just went down the east coast in November. took the ICW from norfolk to beaufort, sailed down to St Augustine, then to Fort Lauderdale. At city docks there now. shorter hops from beaufort would be stops at Charleston and Savannah. Both nice towns, I hear. It was getting cold so we pushed on! Time it right and you can stop to see the space shuttle launch.

Thumbs up

Actually I was in Scorpion Marina in Port Canaveral for the haulout of the catamaran I eventually bought, in 2009. The last day I was there I saw the shuttle launch from the seaside deck of a local restaurant. What a sight! And sound! I'll never forget it.

Re: FP Louisiane 36/37

I do not see anything about the older 36 under this forum. I am interested in a 36 (1986 model) ( a proposed upgrade from our old Prout 34).
I have read about the lack of headroom and the pictures look to be narrow hulls compared with our Prout. I am sure it will sail faster but what should I be looking for? What are the "weak" areas of these older boats? And I have not found out the bridge deck clearance yet but the photos look like not much. Any input would be great. Data shows that there 90 hulls built but no postings here????

Re: Fountaine Pajot Catamarans

thanks but only one post that that forum and it was looking for information like me. And not much found on Google - seems a little strange for a brand name boat.

Re: Fountaine Pajot Catamarans

Sorry to be reviving this old tread, but I am also trying to find info to feed my brains with and just like you said there is not much info on these boats on the net!

Apart from this forum I have found "Catales" website and couple of "biased" reviews on Multihulls, Catamarans, Yachts for sale in Australia | Multihull Solutions but thats about it.

Any other resource I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance guys!
