Belize 43 bulkheads

I have a couple of questions for the Belize owners.
Can anyone confirm the actual number of watertight bulkheads and non watertight bulkheads in the Belize 43 Maestro design?
As I understand the crash boxes in the bows of both hulls are actually filled with foam but are the aft ends under the sugar scoop steps aft of the engine room also filled with foam?
Should there be any concern with any form of rot setting up in these hidden areas?
Thanks in advance
Wayne

AFAIk, fore and aft of the foam filled crash boxes and fore and aft of the engines are solid bulkheads.

I haven't heard of or noticed any foam rot.

Thanks for that DotDun so that would mean 4 watertight bulkheads but how many non watertight bulkheads? It seems to me that maybe 2 is the answer but I seem to recall seeing a reference to 3 somewhere so am a little unsure. I need this info so as to fill out a form in place of the Builders Cerificate for registration here is Oz.
Also I don't know if you are onboard or not but if you are they also want to know the vertical measurement from the top of the keel to the top of freeboard deck amidships. I have guessed at 2.3m by looking at photos but any confirmation would be helpful if possible.
Do you know if there is foam under the sugar scoop steps?
Kind regards
Wayne

There are 3 structural bulkheads, one is the fore of the engine room, already counted as a sold bulkhead. The next one is aft of the salon (with the sliding door), and the fore one is under the mast. Both these 2 are not solid.

I'm not on the boat right now, but 2.3m sounds about right.

Thanks DotDun Obviously that is where the confusion arose with the fore engine room bulkhead being counted twice. So thanks for sorting that out for me. I have just found a plan de cloissonment for the Belize which reveals the measurement at 2.42m so we were close.
And the aft end under the sugar scoop do you know if there is foam for reserve bouyancy?

Yes, there is foam under the sugar scoops, aft of the engine room aft bulkhead.

Hi AussieWayne, here is a link to an FP dealer site which shows the safety features of the FP build. The main picture is of a Mahe at the moment and has changed over the years since I first found the site. It appears to be FP generic.

Safety - Aeroyacht

Cheers

Thanks for the link Lisa. It is visually simple and that is a good thing, even I can understand it.

Re: Belize 43 bulkheads

I have a 2004 Belize, there are no crash bulkheads - foam filled or otherwise in the bows. (I just climbed in there and double checked with a flashlight).

Yikes, I am mistaken. There are crash bulkheads in the bows, just not watertight nor foam filled like I was expecting to see.
