2010 Lapari 41 Issues

I've seen a couple of 2010 Lapari 41's for sale recently and considering for potential purchase. Wife and myself cruising with potential for extended family joining from time to time. Not looking to circumnavigate or race but some gulf crossing and island hopping. Would like to be self sufficient as much as possible (water, electric, etc.).

Any reoccurring issue or habitual problem areas on this age/model of FP catamaran that should be considered? Looking for comments from current previous owners/users.

Thanks

I'm only aware of osmosis issues. I have seen two 2010 Lipari listed as treated under warranty so this seems to be a valid issue.

If the one you are looking at had been treated under warranty I would not be bothered (we used to own a Mahe that had been treated and no problems afterwards).

Re: 2010 Lapari 41 Issues

I'ii second Rabbi..The early hulls numbers are more prone to osmosis. I have one form 2010 which was treated, we have two others on our charter fleet from 2014 and 2015 without osmosis so far.
Otherwise, they are pretty good boats. I've sailed her quite a bit and I would consider her pretty fast given her size, 39 ft only..
In terms of finish, I think it's between Orana and Helia. We didn't have any issues at all with any of these 3 Lipari's , all of them being in charter.

Cheers

Re: 2010 Lapari 41 Issues

No osmosis issues for Takamoana, Hull No 39 launched July 2010. Apart from a few minor build / quality control items immediately after delivery which the builder remedied without hassle, we have had no problems apart from the usual maintenance and minor defects due to wear and tear. The boat has spent most of it's life in the water as we live onboard full-time and we took the factory epoxy primer option. We have cruised Atlantic Europe and the Med and have recently crossed to the Caribbean. Normally just the 2 of us and occasional friends and family visits for up to a month. We have plenty of solar, watermaker, freezer, washing machine etc and life is very comfortable. Good luck with your search,
Gary
