That's good michaeld. You are the first one saying so. Someone is using it! Any idea which one of these?

$ flatpak update
Looking for updates…
Info: org.freedesktop.Sdk//22.08 is end-of-life, with reason:
org.freedesktop.Platform 22.08 is no longer receiving fixes and security updates. Please update to a supported runtime version.

About OpenCPM displays:

Ok that's very helpful. What kind of machine are you running this on?
x86_64, ARM (aarch64), PowerPC (ppc64le), and IBM Z (s390x)

Also are you running OpenCPN 5.10.2 or 5.8?

It would be very helpful to me if you could go to Options > Plugins and Update the Plugin Catalog and then installing, enabling and starting these two plugins:

Weatherfax 1.10.10
AISradar 1.4.18

And just let me know if the first menu appears without the Plugin Failing.
I would like to confirm that our Flatpak builds work. Thank you.

I am going to be rebuilding about 25 plugins with this code and it needs to be confirmed that it at least installs properly.

Re: Who uses FLATPAK?

It's late for me tonight. I'll give it a try in the morning. But, FYI x86_64, running on an older Dell Precision with a Core i7 processor.

Re: Who uses FLATPAK?

I use Flatpak on the Pi4 and Pi5. OpenCPN 10.5.2, Bookworm.
The plugin manager says: flatpak-aarch64:22.08

In the non-flatpak version, the o-charts plugin stopped working a while ago on my system, which I have not investigated in depth. There is a post, which is unresolved yet. Mainly, because I was temporarily confused: reporting trouble, withdrawing it and then reporting it again.

Thankyou Manfred would you mind testing the current aisradar and weatherfax on those systems with flatpak and reporting success or failure when they load?

I will report the ochart problem under issues.

Yes, both plugins install without issue. Icons for each appear on the portside toolbar.

Re: Who uses FLATPAK?

Both PlugIns ( Weatherfax 1.10.11 (!) & AISradar 1.4.18) are running smoothly on Pi5, Bookworm, Flavour flatpak-aarch64-24.08-flatpak.

Best,

Manfred

PS: sorry I though I had reported it already previously, but apparently I forgot
