I would like more information on this, I have a Pactor Modem connected to my SSB on my Linux Mint system. This downloads the fax using airmail however, it would be great to eliminate Airmail and stick with one program such as OpenCPN.

So, any information to utilise the WeatherFax plugin to download weather information via SSB would be appreciated please.

I also notice on the Weatherfax Plugin install page has some images relating to SSB are missing.

Seagasm,

Your interest is appreciated. Please post these questions on the main weatherfax thread. http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...fax-97533.html

Maelstraun has experience and can answer.

We are trying to coalesce a group interested interested and passionate about improving weatherfax through SSB and rtlsdr and other lower cost devices.

Re: Weatherfax - Linux Mint

To receive wxfax with the plugin I have done in 2 ways:

1) microphone input connected to ssb radio output
2) rtlsdr and upconverter

I found the first way gave me a better picture but my antennas in both cases are not very good.
