Deleted the whole directory uninstalled the Pi and reinstalled the latest one.
All working again.
Will try test the radio side of it during the next week

Has anyone noticed that the current version 1.9.37.0 installed from PIM Master Catalog is missing many "Regions" that are shown in the XML Files?
For example, the NOAA server has just "Boston" Region, when Boston, Pt. Reyes, New Orleans, Kodiak and Honolulu regions should be available.

for more detail.

PLease confirm this issue stating your OS and Opencpn version number and Weatherfax version.

I can't confirm that, using Weatherfax 1.9.37.0 (the "about" window in the program shows 1.9.36.0, but the plugin-manager 1.9.37.0), open cpn 5.6.2, WIN 10. All the NOAA charts are shown.

Strange. I guess you have 1.9.37. But possibly not.
Have you updated the Master Catalog?
Then picked to download 1.9.37 and then Enable it?

Strange indeed. I had the previous version despite updating with the plugin manager. After a complete deinstall and reinstalling, the "about" window showed the actual version now. Something is going wrong with the update mechanism, I think. After installing tha actual version, open cpn crashed when closing. And interesting, after installation in the %localappdata% folder first are xml's with the date 20.06.2022. After updating the data sources there are files from 22.06.2022, the older files are stored as .bak. But, in the folder programdata....weatherfax is only one file, coordinateSets.xml. Up to now there were the same files as in %localappdata%.
When clicking search internet, it lasts up to 40 seconds until the next window with the choices will appear, all selections marked blue. Changing the selections will last a while. But the NOAA charts appear.

This is Correct and as it should be. When Retrieve > Update Data is selected that file gets renamed coordinateSets.xml.sav

The key question is are all the "Regions" showing properly.
Does NOAA show all the regions?

Ok, in my setting all regions of NOAA are present and work. What is new that when I start seach internet, all entries are marked blue and it lasts about 30 seconds until the window appears.

Maybe my former question was a bit unclear, only in the folder %localappdata% are all the xml's, under programdata and following is only one file, coordinateSets.xml, this is new. Up to the newest version there were also all the xml files.

Sorry if my english could be a bit more polished, I try my very best.

Thanks Naufragus . Your English is very good. I really appreciate your testing and reports. I am now noticing that there are many regions now available, but now notice some servers / regions are not showing weatherfaxs that are expected.

The Weatherfax (MF/HF based) is compulsory to carry on merchant vessels included in the Safety Equipment certificate but could be removed if another mean of receiving those kind of weather forecasts is available on board.
I've been using from long time computerized systems via internet either email (when not available always on connection) like SPOS and in another company other brands that I cannot remember.
All vessel I was in last 15 years the equipment was removed because we had another mean but Class must be informed about removal for update the SSEC and Radio Station License.

there are two main problems on board a commercial vessel with these system:
1 - most of them are out of order and spares uses to be difficult to find (*).
2 - lack of station transmitting weather forecast, in the last years I've seen that most popular in Europe had despaired, like Bracknell (UK), Madrid & Rota (ES), Rome (IT) and many more.
I see that still US is the one keeping a good coverage but not many more, to know who is still transmitting and the schedule of service you have to read the UK admiralty Radio signals station book, now I cannot remember the number.

Just in case I found something that could help and is the list of active station nowadays, you could see how many of them had disappeared if you had former reference of them.

@Corsair63 This is the exact document we use to update weatherfax internet retrieval and the weatherfax broadcast schedules. However there are some services we do not know about, for example, South Africa still exists, and I need to add that back in. Other users may know about local services which could be included, if they were to advise us of the details needed, or where we can find them.

We also need to have greater testing and advice about the weatherfax schedules.

at this time the only trusted available source are the ALRS (British Admiralty List of Radio Signals) I cannot remember the book number that is weekly corrected by NM (Notice to Mariners)(maybe this one: Volume 3 (NP283) - Maritime Safety Information Services (Parts 1 & 2))

also there is in digital format (ADRS) but all are not free and quite expensive for us, leisure navigators.
