This happens on a reoccuring basis and we have no control. I have corrected 1000 of these over the last 2.5-3 years for the entire world. Others who have local needs will need to maintain their URL's and CoordinateSets and share them so that we can keep them current.
It means someone (NOT YOU) locally (FRANCE) will need to learn the system and share the results.
Sorry, but that is how it is.

@rgleason: Thanks but I am actually using latest version
I still don't understand the coordinate system but I actually manage to make it work now through trial and error
All good for now

Re: WeatherFax ...
@SHF good, even the current version is not perfect as sources change, good job using the wizard. Now the next thing to learn is how coordinatesets.xml stores your revised coordinates, and how you can send the corrected ones back to us identifying the url and source.

Re: WeatherFax ...
I have mac version 1.5001. just downloaded. The icon shows up in the plugin bar, but does nothing on clicking? Any ideas on what i might check. a few other plugins do work.
I have had this issue on earlier versions, but since it works well on the PC i have let is slide. Now it would be very nice to run on a Mac if possible.
thanks.

Re: WeatherFax ...
David,
I am pretty sure the Mac version has not been updated to the most current version. Several items have been fixed by Stelian and I have added more current internetfaxretrieval.xml files.
You could contact by Ptulp by PM and see if he can compile the current version, which is currently the version in my repository on github. Sorry I don't do Mac.

Re: WeatherFax ...
FYI Rick, I have corrected a few NOAA / OPC / Weathercharts coordinates and submitted a pull request to Sean.
But maybe you want to integrate those changes yourself ? If so, you can pull from my stelian42:fix-some-fax-coordinates branch and I'll cancel the pull request.

Re: WeatherFax ...
There is a new beta release, which works just as well as the earlier release, but has updated xml files from NOAA to Passage Weather urls.
Someone else will need to check the rest of the weatherfax url and coordinates and fix them, and make a PR.
This update is here
https://github.com/rgleason/weatherf...ag/1.7006-beta
It includes Stelian's xml updates too.

Re: WeatherFax ...
Great. FWIW, I have checked all the url/coordinates in my navigation zone (Northern France / Channel) and they are all correct.

Re: WeatherFax ...
I'd like to make a note here about some hesitation in reading the weatherfaxinternetretrieval.xml file which seems to occur when you are changing "Regions". There is a lengthy pause and the screen sort of freezes, then there is a blue spinner, (but wait, wait) and pretty soon the screen blinks, then you know the "Region" will be displayed eventually.
I am wondering if this is caused by programming or by the xml file [perhaps there are some formats that are not exactly right?]
This is most noticeable with Passage Weather.
Advice would be appreciated. I believe the release version has similar performance.

Re: WeatherFax ...
The problem with faxes that do not overlay on the charts, is due to changes in the coordinate sets and type of fax (polar, mercator, etc) at the URL referenced.
The solution is to highlight the downloaded fax and pick "Edit" to get into the Fax Wizard Interface, which gives access to set coordinates etc. It is a step by step pocess, very useful to learn
When you are done the new settings are saved to the User coordinateset.xml file.
If you have corrected a whole batch of url wxfax, please attach your user coordinateset.xml here and write a list of wxfaxes that were fixed.
I will add this to the next release.
Thankyou

Just test the most recent version with passage weather, Mediterranean. I thought O was blocked. And nothing to do to unlock it. At the first test, I came out in force.
I did not read your post with enough attention. And I was about to post to say that it seemed to me that there was a bug. Fortunately, I was intrigued by "wait ... wait ...." So I waited, ...., ... waited ... Finally, it works.
But, alpha users will not have the patience to wait.

Re: WeatherFax ...
Doesn't happen on Linux. I suspect some GUI/toolkit issue, will try to debug.

Hum Stop ... I just understood that I had abnormal cuts in my access to the internet. I will test again tomorrow.
My first post may be good to put in the trash.
