If this has been covered before, sorry. I need to buy paper charts from Fiji to Singapore as backup and wanted to know if there was a way to show the paper chart boundaries and number on openCpn? I want to buy just the charts I need for my route and I have not found a way to find the right charts. Thanks in advance.

Yes. Disable Quilting in toolbox and you will see the white borders of the chart, such as they are on your digital file....mine look very much like the paper ones
but they may have been updated with new numbers so a catalogue is still a useful thing
A goiod planning tool when buying UK paper charts is the UKHO digital catalogue, that comes in a free separate program. Download here: Admiralty Digital Catalogue
The program works fine wine under Linux.
I did not find out how to get the chart numbers I was looking for in openCpn, I did find an index online. Region 7 Australia This link takes you to a page where you can use or download the index to order charts from Tidesend. Thought it might save someone else some frustration. Thanks for the help. mark
