Visual problem with O-charts

Hi all,

this is my first post, I've been following long time this project but I was not confident about it because of the charting (vector) and I used for long time SeaClearII and it was much more easier but times and changing and I have to give a try to this software, really good and progressing.

after found vector charts (O-charts) I decided to switch this program and I really happy of doing it.

my boat computer failed (2 mini computers FTB, ) and requested new one that hopefully will come soon, now using my tablet ..... I have a Surface Pro X, windows 11 ARM64 based, in the past I have quite lot of problems with drivers, that must be signed and specifically compiled for windows ARM64, at last working fine and installed OPenCPN under emulation x86.

AFAIK all working fine, installed plugin O-charts and downloaded charts, no problem, everything registered and working.
but always in the lower part of the screen I have a grey band in the charts ????
(If anyone ask I have an screenshot of it)
I've tried with activate OpenGL but Surface is nearly frozen at that time the charts are showing correctly all the screen but I could not nearly work with software neither tablet, so must be unable the OpenGL acceleration.

any clue about solving it?

Re: Visual problem with O-charts

Have you built the database?
Toolbox Options > Charts

Scan charts
Force Full database rebuild.

Be patient, the entire database is being scanned to create SENC files. After that redraw will be much better.

Hi,

Yes, also I've downloaded this morning the updated charts and after that the own system has rebuilt the database.

Re: Visual problem with O-charts

Please read the top of FAQ in the Opencpn Manual and attach your ini/conf file and log file. Go to opencpn.org to find the link to the manual. Where this is described completely.

Also Please describe equipment, os, version numbers etc. They are needed for these reports.
Are you using Opengl or not? Have you tried it?
