Vesper Marin XB-8000 interfaced to opencpn

I am looking to get the XB-8000 for my boat. I am using opencpn. I understand how to connect the XB-8000 to OPENCPN per the Vesper site. I also have a NMEA2000 network connected to the Vesper with several NMEA2000 devices connected , wind, speed, depth, weather, heading, etc.
The question I have will all this data as well as the AIS and GPS be sent over WIFI to the OPENCPN ?

Thanks
George

Yes, and to any other devices you have too such as Ipads and iPhones. Nmea0183 too. It's a magic piece of kit that makes everything old and new work together.

Re: Vesper Marin XB-8000 interfaced to opencpn

Xb8000 receives a limited set of nmea2000 pgn for transation to nmea0183 and output to WiFi. The current list is available at https://www2.vespermarine.com/guide/xb8000/ . Check what pgn codes you require to be translated for your opencpn set up.. for example rudder position does not get through. If you are missing something then a gateway like actisense may be required.

Yes, but...

Not all data types. Only select NMEA sentences will be broadcast. I think the best list of what's available is on the Vesper web site, https://www2.vespermarine.com/guide/xb8000/, under the "Current NMEA 2000 PGN list."

There was some talk about Vesper adding to this list, but I don't know if that's gone anywhere.
