Very Slow with ENCs

I've just loaded the full set of NOAA ENC charts for the US into CPN and it's become v.slow. Every time I zoom or move the chart position CPN goes into a series of file create & file open screens which typically take a couple of minutes.

Anyone any ideas?

Once a particular chart is built, it opens much faster the second time around.

There is a feature request for a batch build, but I suspect it is kinda low on the list.

Unfortunately that's not it. I can go backwards and forward between the same locations and different levels of zoom and it's still like a snail. Everything is perfect with cmap, and every other format I have. Just have a problem with encs.

Could you post your logfile? We need to see the bottom of the file, where the most recent run information is recorded.

Please try again. You may need to rename to opencpn.log.doc to get the uploader to accept it.
