Vector Text not visible

Sirs
I am very new to opencpn and I have installed CM93 charts but for some reason I cannot view the vector text (other than by clicking on objects)
There does not appear to be an A+ button as found on older versions
Regards
John

What do you call "A+ Button"?

This says:

- There are universal settings, ie adapted to all vector marine charts. You have to click on the sandwich at the bottom right of the screen and you have to check the boxes that are useful to you in the window that is then displayed.

- There are CM93 specific settings. You have to go to "Options/Charts/Advanced/" and change the CM93 cursor setting. The more you push it to the right, the more objects are displayed.

You can also read the pages of the opencpn.org website:
https://opencpn.org/wiki/dokuwiki/do...s:cm93_offsets

There are three settings which control how much text (if any) is displayed on any vector chart and one more specific to CM93 charts.

Re: Vector Text not visible

Add here the "t" short cut key which toggles text on/off. Same function as the "Show text" option at the Display menu, just without opening the menu.

Re: Vector Text not visible

Many thanks

When opencpn had a long line of coloured icons at the top one was an A+ button for turning on text

I have tried the 3 text settings as suggested but it made no difference I still could not view text without clicking on objects

I will keep trying

John

Re: Vector Text not visible

Sorry to get back to you but the vertical toolbar is stuck in the middle of the chart and I cannot move it - there is no "grabber" bar as suggested in some user guides
How do I move it to the left
John

You are then talking about a very old version of OpenCPN. Indeed, this button no longer exists.

In fact, I should have remembered that.

These checkboxes only work with S57 and S63 vector charts and oeSENC vector charts from O-Charts.org.

John

- Click left with the mouse, keeping the button pressed, on the top sandwich of the vertical icon bar.

- Then slide the sandwich slowly back to your preferred location.

- Release the left mouse button at this point.

Yep, the menu is completely "positionable" which holding the left mouse button down on the "hamburger" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hamburger_button )

Note that when it is minimized, you can drag it down so that some of the buttons are invisible when restored - if it's not minized, you can't drag the whole menu outside of the screen boundaries,
