Toolbar Fonts

I'm a new user to OpenCpn so working to figure it out. I bet this has been answered before, but I can't find it and can't find a solution.

I'm using a MacBook Pro, updated to the latest version, running OpenCpn 5.2.4. The toolbar that appears on the left (not sure what it is called) has text that pops up when the cursor hovers over the icon. The issue is that the background and text are the same color, so very difficult to read.

I've tried changing the text color in the user interface dialog but nothing changes the text color in the toolbar. And I can't find a place to change the background.

Any thoughts?

What I know the tool tips background is following "day-dusk-night" modes and are not able to change. But if you change the font to e.g. Blue it may be more visible in all "color schemes"?
(Options->User Interface->Fonts ->"ToolTips")

Here is a screenshot of my problem. Note that I can't see the chart name, since the font and the background are the same color.

Switch off the Dark Mode. It is buggy as many other things in the Mac version of OpenCPN.

This bug is corrected in the coming OCPN 5.6 Release.

It might be difficult and time-consuming to correct the bugs in the macOS version when using hacker tools in a trial-and-error manner as seen in the last git commits. Better to use Xcode.
