To replace the default ownship svg with another

Hi All,

I have been working in a project which uses OpenCPN.

I would like to replace the default ownship in the chart with an another svg.

The default boat looks in gray color, I would like to replace it with an another svg.

I tried replacing the svgs in data/svg and src/bitmaps/other_svg_src folders, but none of them work for me.

Anyone please help me?

The ship icon is gray when no GPS is present. Turns Red while navigation. But you may have noticed?

It did work for me. I could see my custom ownship in the place of red_ship.
Thank you for the help.

I have an other question now.
The ship appears in grey color. I have commented convertToGreyScale() function in chcanvas.cpp. But it didnot work.

How can I get exactly the same .png I put in UserIcons folder.?

I have not yet worked with the GPS. I am a beginner.

If I am using my custom image, will it looks in its original color combination while navigation?
