Tides and Currents for south America ?
do there exist any data compatible to opencpn ?
I found tides but no currents for the atlantic ( harmonic v8) but nothing for chilean the pacific coast.

The data you are looking for is simply not widely available or present in digital format.

The US pilot charts (free via opencpn website) contain average ocean currents by month
