Testing AS with San Francisco AIS data

I am trying to test acquiring AIS data using the IP address in the OpenCPN help - 76.103.90.196:9009. I am not getting any data - can some one please confirm that it is working?

Many thanks,
Tongmaster.

Re: Testing AS with San Francisco AIS data

If you are just interested in testing AIS data it can be done with the VDR plugin and a data file. If you are trying to test IP data input to O then I developed a simple Python tool that does that using VDR data files. You can find it on github under my CF moniker. It includes some test files and there are several other test files floating around the Internet.
