Temporary layers OpenCPN

Out of open data, I create different gpx-files to load in OpenCPN with (among other things) buoy-information for the Dutch inland waters with custom icons.
I can load those permanantly as Waypoints and I can load them temporarily as a Layer.

The first one works nicely for buoy-information because you allways want them to be visible ;-)

The last one is very nice because I can swith on/off the layers, with additional information, as I please but......

When closing OpenCPN and starting her up again, she has forgotten all about my Temporary layers and, if I want to use them again, I have to load them all over again .

Maybe there's a way to "save" those Temporary layers to be reloaded after a restart, but if so.... I haven't found it yet so I guess it's not there (yet).

So that's my feature-request.... please make it possible to remember the Temporary layers?!
And as an extra, it would be nice to be able to sort the Temporary Layers when they add up to a lot ;-)

Re: Temporary layers OpenCPN

Temporary layers are, as the name suggests, temporary. If you want them to be permanent, simply put them in the Layers subfolder in OpenCPN's data folder. More about it at Layers | Official OpenCPN Homepage

Re: Temporary layers OpenCPN

Good request. Can you please register for tracker and make a feature request with enough detail and specifics for the developers. Thanks
