Sulu Sea Philippine charts download for opencpn

Hi folks, I just joined the forum. A year ago i met a couple of cruisers in Coron Palawan. They told me that opencpn is the best chart plotter for use on my MacBook. I have installed opencpn already but could not find charts for the philippines especially the Sulu Sea. Can anyone be kind enough to share a link? This is a nice boating forum. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum. Wondering where you might be in the Philippines?

Sources for charts that OpenCPN can display are shown at Chart Sources | Official OpenCPN Homepage

Included are the free charts from the East Asia Hydrographic Commission and are available at South China Sea Electronic Navigational Charts East Asia Hydrographic Commission These charts are not very detailed but suitable for passage planning and are routinely updated.

The cm93 charts cover the Sulu Sea quite well though enhancing with the GE2KAP program (using Google Earth Pro) is my recommendation. My 'tutorial' on doing this can be download here.
