Suggestion concerning SOG/COG vectors for split screen

I'm crusing on the bigger rivers and channels in NL and D and using OpenCPN for a couple of years now, mainly for AIS

My favourite setting is the split screen mode:
Left: North up, large area (apprax 5 km ahead, 2km behind)
Right: Course up, small area (approx. 1-2 km ahead)

So far, so good, works fine.

However, sometimes it is so busy, that the vectors on the left section, overlap, resulting in a mess making it difficult to see the individual ships.

It would be a nice feature to have to switch on/off the vector display not on general level, but on split screen level.
So: Left: Without vectors, Right with vectors.
