Ship Icon Only Goes Sideways

I know this is silly but it does bug me. I have a custom icon and it only moves over the charts sideways. Can this be corrected? Chuck

Going back and looking at one of your old posts - http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...tml#post962883, I can see the problem.
Your Icon is pointing East, while it needs to point North.
Just rotate it in Gimp, or a similar program, and try again!

OK, Thanks Thomas, But does this mean it will always point north? I guess I haven't noticed before.

A little issue, I still have my ownship icon but the usericon folder seems to have disappeared, at least I can't find it. I even have show hidden files checked. Chuck

waterwayguy, click the "?" on the toolbar and the location of UserIcons folder is there- it's same place your other configuration files are. It depends on your operating system, which you didn't mention.

Thanks, got it. But my image program won't save it as an XPM so I will have to find one that wiil. Chuck

you can use .png's instead of xpm's in the newer incarnations of O but otherwise try "xnview" to save as an xpm...it's another good free app and there's a portable version too....
