Hoping to use a Galaxy S21+ 5G with android v14, but all of Meowsbox's
software is reported as not supported on my devices... could it be an international conflict? don't know... found a pair of
GPS tether apps (
GPS Tether Server/Client by Bricatta) that does appear to be compatible. They only have 2 stars however, so i guess i'll come back to that... all others i can see with the search terms i used (share, bluetooth, tether, GPS/GNSS and variations similar) seem to be client apps to connect external RXvrs to your
phone not the other way around...
I found my bluetooth connections though, thanks

I hear you here... the app i found is a TCP/IP over
WiFi server/client system, with optional encryption, and boasts an experimental
NMEA 0183 feature. Don't know yet if the client is just a generic puTTY terminal but the programmer has listed contact info... I'll update w/ my experience.
Very nice & simple solution @
maelruan and while bench testing this was a short term
experiment to get me through the off-season, redundancy is the
real goal... unfortunately my
contract frowns on me rooting the device i wanted to use... so until i stop sending my first born child to Verizon, one body part at a time, @
barcoMeCasa's suggestion still wins the hour
...thanks again, to
all, this was a great first post experience!
