Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
Hello Sean, Hello RGleason,
I re-install climatology.
1° I note that the exe is correctly named but not the dll.
2° See the first screen copy here join. See specially the configuration that I choice. At this time, I check the checkbox "vent" (Wind). Then "Bilding isobar map" window is openned but nothing occur. And it is impossible to close these window and impossible to close any of the two other windows.
The only possibility is to shutdown O. But O i blocked and then O crash ....
3° I change some choice but this do not change anything. When the window "Bilding isbar map" is opened, O is blocked and the only choice is to shutdown O that crash.
Best regards. Gilletarom

Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
Yes, Gille.. the problem is compilation of isobars. We see the Isobar prograss has stopped and does not complete. Then select "reduce" or "minimize" at upper right, so Opencpn goes to the bottom task bar. Then open it and "maximize" and the progress bar is gone with the
data now written. Troubles with wind, sea depth and pressure with progress bar choking up.
The git version being used is not the most current. I stepped back the plugin to
"80e3b39 add day support" and compiled that. --- But you are saying it still has Isobar progress bar problems. Try the "minimize" Opencpn and then "maximize trick and please advise.
Also try setting wind to normal or rough for a start.
You also think the dll should have the same name? Gosh what a lot of typing each time...

1° Gosh what a lot of testing each time... !!!
2° I try to minimize and maximize O. In this case, no problem. No crash. Strange !!!
3° Mystake in pot file : "Celcius" -----> "Celsius"
4° There are many new items in english. Big work to translate from English to French. Please, update the pot file.
5° See screen copy join :
What are the "#1R" that we can see ? They appear to some position of the mouse on the map.

Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
Standalone Plugin Compilation - Attempt to format the Release names, in accord with standards.
=======================
cd C:\o-plugin\celestial_navigation_pi\build\release
Rename dll to celestial_navigation_win32_pi1.8_v1.0_ov331731_pi. dll
Cut above file and paste to C:\o-plugin\celestial_navigation_pi\build\_CPack_Packag es\win32\NSIS\celestial_navigation_pi-1.8-win32\plugins
and delete celestial_navigation_pi.dll
cd C:\o-plugin\celestial_navigation_pi\build
Type cpack <enter>
cd C:\o-plugin\celestial_navigation_pi\build\_CPack_Packag es\win32\NSIS
Rename exe to celestial_navigation_win32_pi1.8_v1.0_ov331731_pi. exe
Then try to install celestial_navigation_win32_pi1.8_v1.0_ov331731_pi. exe to Opencpn3.3.1731.
1. The celestial_navigation_pi/data file is installed properly.
2. celestial_navigation_pi.dll is installed.
This strategy did not work.
It would be nice if the "cpack" command had an argument like "--formatname" which would take the Version number and Plugin API and name the plugin dll and exe accordingly. I leave this for the programmers to figure out.
For the time being I may rename the exe if I have time, until we get to the final truely public version.

Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
Sean is taking a well deserved sail. I will try to stand in.
Gille.. wrote:

2° I try to minimize and maximize O. In this case, no problem. No crash. Strange !!! - Yes! If maybe two of us explained this to Sean, he'd know what the problem is. You just minimize the screen and O shrinks down to the taskbar and then maximize O and the problem has gone away. I is almost as if the screen is frozen and does not rewrite during an isobar progress bar, in later versions it gets worse. Also the "cancel" does not operate, its kind of frozen, so the screen goes dead, can't exit O normally. Its a pain in the XXX if you don't know the "minimize" "maximize" trick.
3° Mystake in pot file : "Celcius" -----> "Celsius" - Yes, it is a "mistake", but I like the mystake.
4° There are many new items in english. Big work to translate from English to French. Please, update the pot file. - ok how is that done? Maybe you can describe this process or direct me to the manual where it shows the process....
5° See screen copy join :

Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
By the way Gille... since you are so through, which is great, if you are testing Weather_routing with Climatology, please put Climatology on "Average" because other settings do not at present work and will just fail

3 By cons, for installation in the folder 331731 0, there is a problem with the installer. See the screenshot attached below. By choosing the folder 33731 O, it does not remove the file O 322.
4 I tested wmm and I did not find any problem. That said, if there is an abnormality in the calculation of curves, I have no way of checking.
5 ° I always hoped that the data provided by WMM will one day be used directly and automatically in O. To do this would require that the data provided by WMM, can be used automatically, in the last line options first tab of O options.
6° Thank you for having joined the French language automatically.
Best regards, Gilletarom.

The data by WMM _is_ used directly and automatically by O for route measurements and bearings and things.

Thanks for all the french language files.
I have now for:
climatology, rtlsdr, trimplot, watchdog, statusbar, weatherfax, and weather routing.
I will integrate these shortly and push probably tomorrow. I think this covers all of the plugins because I already have a french translation for celestial navigation, although it is slightly out of date.

Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
All Installation EXE files have been updated and will be found in the 3.3.1731 folder on Opencpn Beta File Thingie rguser rgpass. Note that climatology is now 5.3 mb and contains the necessary data files. These are the most recent git pull late today. Please test these plugins.
celestial_navigation_win32_pi-1.8_v0.9_ov331731_pi.exe
climatology_win32_pi-0.9_v0.8_ov331731_pi.exe
rtlsdr_win32_pi-0.10_v0.10_ov33173_pi.exe
statusbar_win32_pi-0.4_v0.4_ov331731_pi.exe
watchdog_win32_pi-1.0_v1.0_ov331731_pi.exe
weather_routing_win32_pi-0.11_v0.11_ov331731_pi.exe
weatherfax_win32_pi-0.10_v0.10_ov331731_pi.exe

Re: Sean Depagnier's Plugins
French translations for all plugins, good work gilletarom
Other languages mostly missing/incomplete
I tried to make some corrections to the french translations,
many had other plugin translations as well which I removed
here is my summary:
./watchdog_pi/po/fr.po -- complete
./climatology_pi/po/fr.po -- complete (except word for lightning)
./weatherfax_pi/po/fr.po -- complete
./weatherfax_pi/po/de.po -- partial
./statusbar_pi/po/fr.po -- partial
./rtlsdr_pi/po/fr.po -- complete
./trimplot_pi/po/fr.po -- complete
./celestial_navigation_pi/po/nl.po -- complete
./celestial_navigation_pi/po/fr.po -- partial
./celestial_navigation_pi/po/de.po -- partial
./weather_routing_pi/po/fr.po -- nearly complete (recent developments added a few strings)
./weather_routing_pi/po/de.po -- partial
It is also possible to translate the informational html file
for climatology, weather routing and celestial navigation, and provide the
translated filename in the translation po file, but this is a lot of extra work.
Even a shorter version which links to the original, one might find useful.

Give me some time. Before this work can ensure that these pages will not be changed?
2° Trying climatology this morning :
When the "Configuration" window is openned, if we click on the icon of climatology in the icon bar, then Climatology is shutdown (normal) but the window "Configuration" does not shutdown.

I have a doubt about how to translate "Ligthning". It could be it storms or lightning itself.

"Thunderstorms" should be the right expression.
