Re: SAR Plugin

Mike...

does install under macOS, but first there are two entries. The first one does not give any option.
After cycling the Option menu, things are ok, only the plug-in was not enabled.
Now the PI shows up in the tool bar - however with the default icon.
Cycling OpenCPN will bring up the icon on a different position in the tool bar.
Default icon. Running...

Re: SAR Plugin

Thanks Hubert...

Yes, I saw something similar on Windows. On Win 8.1 I uninstalled the managed version and then re-installed it from the list. This cleared out the old version SAR 2.6 line and just left the managed plugin line, with the correct icon. I will test on my Mac Mini tomorrow.

I still need to fix the translations. Only English showing at the moment.

Re: SAR Plugin

Hubert...

I think you have an old copy of SAR in the contents of OpenCPN. To remove the old plugin use Finder. With 'Applications', 'right-click' on OpenCPN and use 'Show Package Contents'. I found the folder 'Plugins' and 'libsar_pi.dylib' was in that folder. Deleted 'libsar_pi.dylib' and installed the managed version of SAR.

Using only managed plugins I have the four core plugins in the package contents. 'libsar_pi.dylib' is now in '/Users/parklands/Library/Application Support/OpenCPN/Contents/PlugIns'.

Re: SAR Plugin

Managed plugin fails on a spelling error in the download for arm64:
Code:
WARNING Downloader.cpp:84 Failed to get 'https://dl.cloudsmith.io/public/opencpn/sar-prod/raw/names/sar_pi-2.6.17.0-ubuntu-arm64-18.04-bionic-armh64-tarball/versions/v2.6.17-opencpn/sar_pi-2.6.17.0-ubuntu-arm64-18.04-bionic-armh64.tar.gz' [The requested URL returned error: 404 Not Found]

Github version works, now I only have to learn how to use it.

Re: SAR Plugin

hreuver...

Could you try using the managed plugins again. I have pushed v2.6.19 to Cloudsmith and this includes the armh64 package. No changes to the plugin, only the version number.

Re: SAR Plugin

Sorry... this is not going to work until I make a pull request to get the updated version into the plugin catalog.

The catalog has been updated.

Would appreciate a test for your system.

The manual is being edited:

A work in progress!

Re: SAR Plugin

I already got the simple patterns drawn with the sar-plugin.

But now I can confirm that it works from the pluginmanager on ARM64 Ubuntu 18.04.
If I'm correct this should also work on Raspbian Buster since it's the same underlying system.

hreuver...

Appreciate the feedback. Yes, there is a package for Raspbian 'buster'.

Re: SAR Plugin

During the updates to SAR I have lost some translations. Håkan has posted a new POT file on Crowdin. Would appreciate it if translators could take a look at their work and fill in any gaps.

Thanks in advance.

Re: SAR Plugin

Thanks for the translations.

Updating to v2.6.20.0 will use your language.

Re: SAR Plugin

Great plugin, I use it for creating survey lines.

Is there a way to get the units in metric (meters or kilometers)?

Re: SAR Plugin

Version for metres is here:

http://www.mikerossiter.co.uk/site/O...0-win32.tar.gz

Conversion of 1NM = 1852m used. Use 'import plugin'. Be aware that this version is not for SAR use. Uninstall/Reinstall to revert to the original catalog version.
