Hello Mike,

How should I understand the item “Chart route ”? When and where is it used?

Thank by advance.

"Chart route", yes I was not happy with this myself. It means that when checked the search pattern is added to the routes already in the Route & Chart Manager and plotted on the chart. This avoids saving a GPX and then importing a GPX, although a GPX is still created as a backup.

"Add route"
"Plot route"
"Draw route"

I think the last may make more sense.

So I understand "Add to route manager". The only drawback is that it is a long text but very understandable for all users. Is there enough space on the screen to put this text?

I will therefore translate the item "Chart route" by "Add to route manager", that is to say in French: "Ajouter au gestionnaire de route"

v4.2.1-Alpha is now in Cloudsmith:
https://cloudsmith.io/~opencpn/repos...lpha/packages/

"Chart route" has been changed to "Add to route manager" and the French translation of this added.

All translations found in Crowdin have been added to this version.

Mike,
I have just installed version #157 of SAR without difficulty.

Little Bug that catches the eye: Regarding the language files, at least in French, but this certainly concerns all languages, the "Generate RTZ" item although present in the Crowdin and translated in the French language file, remains in English on the screen.

capt.geoff ...

The manual will be edited when time allows. I will make reference to timed searches.

Ops.Navig8r ...

RTZ is now part of the plugin. The routes validate based on the schema. Also the routes can now be plotted directly instead of the export/import saga. A gpx is saved as a backup.

Re: SAR Plugin

Windows 11 ARM64 Pro 23H2 22631.3447

OCPN Version 5.9.0-0+dcab2c8 Build 2024-04-19
SAR plugin sar-4.2.2+150.ac76184_msvc-wx32-10-x86.tar

all tabs working when done the route calculation.

only not working is the "Sector Search" when all data inserted and click on Generate GPX it opens the save as dialog and after selecting the file, the program just crash and creates a crash report.

also, after re-start OCPN trying to import the GPX file it does nothing.

I see the crash. Thanks. Happens with two circuits of the pattern. One is Ok. Both USCG and IAMSAR. Working on it.
