And if this could be the case for S57 also unencrypted. Because, for example, the chartss of the Netherlands, it is unpleasant to have to wait every time you change a chart view of the large number of charts for that country.

B.R. Gilletarom.
I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but a year or two ago I put in a FS for "Batch Ingest" for the S57s.

I changed the ini to put my SENCs in my chart directory, so all my charts AND the SENCs are on one USB drive to be copied computer to computer.

Re: S63_PI Alpha Test 0.2.0

Hello Dave,

1° I writed, some post ago, that when we change from "Paper chart" to "Simplified", then some objects are not displayed.
I have try another completely and I have choice at first time "Simplified". then I import cells and load chart. Ok Then All is displayed.
But when I change from "simplified" to "Paper chart", then some objects are not displayed.

If I shutdown O and Re run it, then all is Ok. All is displayed

2° With CM93, or raster charts NZ or S57 charts USA or ... it is not necessary to go to the ENC_ROOT folder. If we use a folder that contains the ROOT folder, all is well.

In the S63, to import maps, it is mandatory to use the ROOT folder.

It is not in the habits of O users. Should develop a little more flexibility.

Re: S63_PI Alpha Test 0.2.0

Gilletarom...

Regarding your error on test 2B.

If you will note from the S64 test script description for this test, it is a test of how the ENC handles a poorly formatted cell permit.

P { margin-bottom: 0.08in; direction: ltr; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); widows: 2; orphans: 2; }P.western { font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt; }P.cjk { font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 12pt; }P.ctl { font-family: "Times New Roman",serif; font-size: 10pt; }A:link { color: rgb(0, 0, 255); } Objectives of test:
Test how the system performs when loading a PERMIT.TXT file with an incorrectly formatted permit string. Verify that the ECDIS returns the correct error message.

s63_pi does a poor job of indicating the error in this case. But it is a "legitimate" error, in that it fails on (intentional) bad input data.

We need to walk through all of the s64 test cases, and clean up the s63_pi error response and messages for each one. On the list...

Thanks
Dave

Hello dave,

I had suspected that he was an anomaly of this kind. But since we are to experiment, I thought you could need to be warned.

Re: S63_PI Alpha Test 0.2.0

Thomas,

seems to be inherent to the S-64 set:

Dave's comment:
"Reduction in detail is normal. The S64 charts do not contain any SCAMIN attributes at all."

We are testing with some production charts as well and these behave correctly.

BCN & Dave

OK, that explains it.
