I will have to put together a block diagram to properly document how things are connected. PM me if you want to see the full schematic.
In a nutshell:
- Serial 1 is mirroring what is sent to the RPi, physically the pins are connected to the MCU and RPi header (RX->UART0_TXD, TX->UART0_RXD0, 5V)
- Serial 2 is connected to the MCU. This is where I intend to support GPS and other sources for pass through data.
- I2C is directly wired to the RPi header, pins 1 (3V3), 3 (GPIO2, SDA1) and 5 (GPIO2, SCL1)
Pass-through of NMEA
sentences is on the top of my list. I'm done with the necessary refactoring of my serial I/O library, so it shouldn't be too far out. But I'm developing dAISy besides a full-time job, which makes it challenging to promise and keep deadlines.
