Hello all, I have searched for the issue I'm experiencing, but can not find anything. This leads me to believe the problem is user-error, but hopefully someone can shed some light.
I just recently started using/testing
OpenCPN v4.0.0 on Windows 7 x64 SP1. I loaded up several chart groups, including an
ENC set and the accompanying RNC set. I decided to plot a
route using the
ENC set by setting rough waypoints from start to finish using small detail zoom, then went in to a larger detail view and fine tuning by inserting/dragging new waypoints/legs along the way. I added label names and marina info to planned marina moorage locations. Finally, I exported the
route to a new .gpx file. After closing the program and later importing the saved .gpx route info for review, I noticed that many if not all of my waypoints had shifted location. Also, the waypoints that I had meticulously labeled and inserted grid/phone number/hailing channel info/website links/photos/etc for
marinas had been wiped. There were absolutely no names on all but one of the waypoints, and all of the saved info on each marina was gone.
Does anyone know what may have happened during the export process? Can I not plot a rough route, then fine-tune it by dragging and inserting new waypoints along the way? Any help would be appreciated.
