Route Examples for Day-Sailing in Florida
Hello,
I don't know if it is the good forum to ask my question but:
I' m planning a trip in Florida (by car) .... Keys, Charlotte harbor, Sarasota, Tampa bay,.., I'll like to rent a boat from place to place and I wonder if someone have OPENCPN traces or routes files to share with me, so I can have ideas of cruises that can be done in those areas...(It could help me to choose the places where it is better to rent a little 22 feets for day sailing).
I don't know if it is customary to share this kind of GPX but it would be fine if someone can give me something to dream about on my computer until my holidays...
Thank you in advance!
I hope you can understand my english
Chris

Re: GPX Traces and routes examples
It's probably a good forum but I would suggest you to use a better worded subject for your thread. With the current wording most people will read it as a technical question. Better to ask for what you want in the subject, the right people will open your post then!!

Hello JespereWe,
thank you for the suggestion, but I don't know how to edit the post title.
I would like to set the title to to "Routes examples for day-sailing in Florida".
Thanks!

Re: Route Examples for Day-Sailing in Florida
You can only download .gpx tracks if you are a registered SPOT owner.
Spot Messenger are going pretty cheap these days..

Re: Route Examples for Day-Sailing in Florida
I think there are a limited number of places to rent a small sailboat.
I think this will determine what dock you will leave from. That dock will determine where you will be able to sail. Conditions will determine just how far you can go.
Having your own 22 would indicate to me you know you aren't going far.

It is the reason why I'm looking for day-sailing renting
For now, I have only found a Compaq23 and a Catalina22 in the keys, and a Catalina22 near Sarasota.

Trade your car to a friend with a truck and bring your boat with you. Zillions of boat ramps available.
Options are near infinite then.
Two weeks should turn into three months.
