Although many people have been using "unofficial" versions of Debian Jessie on the RPi for sometime, the Raspberry Pi Foundation has this morning announced that there is now an official Raspbian Jessie. https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/ras...essie-is-here/

Ah, such timing, most of yesterdays pi time was spent doing an apt-get dist-upgrade to Jessie....
